Talk Therapy

Talk therapy is a service in which Mamie offers her undivided attention and actively listens while you talk about what is on your mind; stressors, symptoms, trials & tribulations.. all of this is welcome in the therapy space. If art making and creative offerings are not for you, Mamie is keen to help you problem solve and offer perspective through the use of talk therapy.

Art Therapy

Art therapy is a modality that incorporates talk therapy and art making. Mamie will engage you in creative processes, whether that be art making, creative writing, or engaging with your imagination, as a means to be curious about yourself and to discover patterns of living that are no longer serving you. You do not need to be an artist to engage with art therapy. Mamie believes everyone has the capacity to be creative and that creativity and playfulness are the antidote to stress, burnout, and many other unwanted symptoms. Learn more here: arttherapy.org

Tarot-based Art Therapy

Tarot-based art therapy uses creative processes and tarot cards to help create awareness around personal patterns and mistaken beliefs. Tarot does not predict your future, and neither will Mamie, but she will help you to develop the skills and awareness to get you to the future you desire. Mamie believes tarot is a useful self reflection tool that can spark transformation. It is YOU who brings the truth to the cards and Mamie, with her training in art therapy which is rooted in metaphor and visual understandings, will help guide you to your intuition and personal insights. You do not need any prior knowledge of tarot to work in this way.

Children’s Art Therapy

This service is for the “little buds” out there. Mamie enjoys working with children and their families to help them understand their emotions and learn new ways of expression and coping with “big feelings”. Art and play are the ways in which children communicate, so Mamie meets them where they are at through the use of creative expression. In addition to art making, Mamie thoroughly enjoys engaging children in imaginative play and movement to help them understand the mind, body, & spirit connection.
