Good Faith
Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who do not have or choose not to use insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services. You have the right to know the expected cost of your services and you can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule any service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your provided estimate, you can dispute your bill.
